“What I most enjoyed about this workshop was the chance to be still with my thoughts and the freedom to express myself without feeling a need to impress or meet a particular agenda.”

When we become intimate with all things, we recognize that we are supposed to be here, that we belong here as much as the trees and the sun and the turning earth. There comes a healing, an opening and a grace. (J.Kronfield)

What We Do

StillScape Journeys uses the principles of experiential learning in nature to support personal change. Through group and individual exercises, participants are invited to engage their bodies, spirits, minds and hearts towards an area of desired change. Nature is used as the primary source of interaction because, nature is one of the best mirrors of self. Through nature we can learn about our own projections, fears, joys, wonders, beliefs and more. In Latin, nature means “ to be born”. In other words, when we lose touch with nature, we lose touch with ourselves. Through the spirit of nature we can access stillness of mind which can support our movement towards greater gratitude and fulfillment in life.

Who is this for?

StillScape Journeys provides nature based experiences for people from 18 to 107!

People often come to these workshops in part because they may feel: disconnected or dissatisfied with daily life, or even just plain overwhelmed with their regular routines. They may have a life that is rich from the eyes of an outsider, but deep within, they feel a void, and perhaps a longing to reach for their heart and souls’ desires. People come because they recognize that their old patterns no longer work, and they want to live more deeply, with more joy and grace. Others come because a niggling little voice deep inside is telling them to slow down, stop and smell the roses, and just have more fun!

What is stillness and how can it help my life?

Stillness refers to a feeling of peace within. For some, stillness includes the moments in their life when time slows, or even stops, and they feel awake, aware and very alive while the mind is quiet. It’s like the feeling of awe when gazing into the midnight stars on a dark, silent night and soaking in the full moon as it lights up the sky.

For some it is the feeling of reaching a mountain summit, out of breath, cold, but alive and alert with all senses heightened by the sheer magic of seeing the world from above. For others, it is the joy of being present and quiet in their mind, catching a radiant sunset, locking eyes with a smiling baby, feeling the wind on your face, walking barefoot on the beach, or even delighting in the taste of good food. Stillness is part of our essential nature. Stillness feeds our life force!

StillScape Journeys is all about creating new experiences for people in nature, so they can live more of these moments in their daily life. It’s about creating more joy, presence and connection to our natural world.

What I most enjoyed about this workshop was the diversity of perspectives with our relationship to the natural world, and ways of engaging with it.
